So the Pledge campaign is over - we reached 100% in 3 weeks in fact, so THANKYOU everybody who Pledged and made the album possible. The relentless enthusiasm and encouragement from social networks and Pledgers made the recording process a joy, which is a new thing for me!
And the epic UK tour is over, with 28 of the 30 dates sold out! Completely baffling, flattering and wonderful. And I had an awesome time playing to you all, there were some unbelievably warm and supportive audiences out there. If you came to a gig, whether it was your 10th Jon Gomm gig, or your first time, or even if you were dragged there against your will by a friend, THANKS for coming!
In the meantime, I've been busy fiming more videos for Boss (the guitar effects pedal people), Total Guitar magazine and a bunch of other people, and they should materialise online soon.
And just for fun, here's a video from one of the tour gigs (in Nottingham), where singer Dan Tompkins came along to jam his Youtube version of Ain't Nobody with me. We'd never met before that night, let alone rehearsed, but it went pretty well. Youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_nbQqwmjy8
Thanks for reading, check back on Monday November 25th to see the new youtube video!

And now, the album is ready to pre-order to everyone on planet Earth. There's downloads, CDs and autographed CDs available. They'll be sent to you so they hopefully arrive on the official release date, November 25th. Pre-order it here: http://jongomm.com/store And on November 25th, the first new Youtube video will go live too! Which is very exciting. The video is being made by Owen Plummer and Danielle Millea - the same lovely people who made the Passionflower and Ain't Nobody videos. And while we don't expect to get 5 million views again, I think this video is better. |
